NCT3230S

The NCT3230S is a highly efficient PWM DC-DC controller designed to drive two N-Channel MOSFETs in a synchronous rectified buck topology. The single output device integrates internal soft start, frequency compensation networks, output adjustment, monitoring and protection functions into a single, cost effective package. The device operates at a fixed frequency of 300 kHz and provides a simple, single feedback loop with voltage mode control and fast transient response. The NCT3230S also features over current under-voltage, and over=voltage protection. The output current is monitored by sensing the voltage drop across the RDS (ON) of the low side MOSFET to eliminate the need of a current sensing resistor. Under voltage and over voltage protection monitors the voltage on FB pin.
